ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Tri-Basin NRD will receive sealed bids for construction of Phase one of construction of the COTTONWOOD RANCH RECAPTURE WELL NETWORK, which is located in Phelps County, Nebraska.  The project consists of two components:

BID #1 WELL DRILLING, PUMP INSTALLATION AND ELECTRICAL SUPPLY and

BID #2 PIPELINE AND OUTFALL STRUCTURES

Bids for each of these project components will be accepted until 2:30 PM Central Time, Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the office of the Tri-Basin Natural Resources District (NRD), 1723 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949.  Bids will be presented to the Tri-Basin NRD Board of Directors during their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 14 at 7:30 PM, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The work required for the project is briefly described as follows:

Bid #1- All materials and labor needed to construct seven (7) water wells, including pipes, valves, 25 HP submersible electric pumps, wiring, electrical switch gear and associated controls, equipment and appurtenances.

Bid #2- All materials and labor needed to install approximately 13,500 lineal feet of buried pipeline and concrete outfall structures.

Construction Drawings and Specifications will be on file in the office of the Tri-Basin NRD and available on our website, www.tribasinnrd.org.  Copies may be obtained from the NRD office.

A pre-bid conference and site inspection will be provided by Tri-Basin NRD.  Prospective bidders should meet at the NRD office at 10 AM, Thursday, August 19, 2021.  The deadline for questions regarding bid specifications will be August 31, 2021.

Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond in an amount of not less than five percent of the amount bid. The check or bond shall be made payable to the Tri-Basin NRD as security that the bidder to whom the award is made will enter into a contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bond. No bids shall be withdrawn after opening the bids without consent of the Tri-Basin NRD for a period of thirty days after the scheduled time for closing bids. Tri-Basin NRD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities in bidding.

The successful bidder shall supply a Performance and Payment Bond executed by a Corporate Surety licensed in the State of Nebraska in an amount equal to 100% of its contract price.

Upon acceptance of a bid a Notice of Award and contract will be issued. The bidder will execute AB-2 and file the contract within fifteen days from the date of the Notice of Award. A Notice to Proceed will then be issued, after which substantial completion of the work shall be achieved within 120 days of mobilization to the project site and no later than December 31, 2021.
